I've finished yet another scarf. I'm way ahead on stocking up for random Christmas gifts this year.

Karaoke Multidirectional Scarf Karaoke Multidirectional Scarf

Made out of South West Trading Company Karaoke (50% wool/ 50% soysilk), color #300 Dipity. The tiny wad in the center is all that is left from three balls, so it's also very efficient at using up yarn.

I'm really fond of the Multidirectional Diagonal Scarf pattern -- it's easy, and I don't have to think too much about it while I knit, which means I can talk to people as I knit. And it looks wonderful in just about every varigated yarn I've tried it in.

Now I just need to think of another easy-knit pattern to carry with me.

That's lovely, the colours are gorgeous.

I've been admiring Karaoke online for ages, and I finally got to see some in person on the weekend. I almost bought it, but I'd spent too much money already. But at least I know I like it now, so I can happily buy it online sometime.

Ooh, wow! That's beautiful! What weight yarn did you use?

Karaoke is worsted weight -- 5 st/in -- but the pattern is completely adjustable. You could make it in laceweight if you wanted to (and had the patience).
